Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly is certainly on the radar of many clubs, but Arsenal seem to be the front-runners.
Kelly too seems to want a move away from his current club. Reports suggest that he is not planning to sign a new contract with Bournemouth. This would mean that he would be a free agent at the end of this season.
Lloyd Kelly receiving interest from England and Italy
Kelly is a sought-after talent across Europe, especially in England and Italy. Apart from the top English clubs, Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also eyeing a move for the 25 year old.
Numerous clubs have expressed interest in acquiring his services, but according to Tuttosport, Arsenal is currently leading the race to secure his signature.
Recently, rumors suggest that Tottenham Hotspur may be looking to Kelly not in the summer, but in January. It makes sense because Spurs need a left-sided center-back after an injury to Micky Van de Ven.
There are also rumors that Liverpool and Newcastle United are also interested in signing the Englishman.
Arsenal is Kelly’s choice
The report suggests that the defender is enticed by the prospect of joining the Gunners and is likely to choose a move to the Emirates over any other club.
Lloyd Kelly is a fine defender and will surely improve Arsenal’s defensive options. There is interest in current Arsenal center-back Jakub Kiwior, from AC Milan and AS Roma. Kiwior seems to struggle with the intensity of the Premier League, and if Arsenal manage to sell him, that would open up a place for Kelly.
Kelly will most likely to come in as a free agent. Hence, this kind of swap deal could be very shrewd for Arsenal at least from a financial point of view.
